This self-report quiz was developed by researchers to quantify parental stress. It has been adapted and is available here as a resource for parents to think about their natural stress in relationship with their partners and their children.
Many parents seek out support through counseling for stress. Parenting is incredibly difficult. And we live in a society where parents are often isolated and under resourced. Stress is one of the biggest challenges for parents.
Stress also creates a difficult environment for small children. While small children have limited ability to communicate, they still interact with and understand the world in complex ways. If you are stressed as a parent, your child likely also experiences some element of that stress, even if only vicariously.
